Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Night Edition is a black-accented beauty
Christmas might be right around the corner, but Mercedes-Benz is preparing a package perhaps better suited for Halloween with the new S-Class Coupe Night Edition.

Like every other evening edition on the market, the special edition S-Class gets a bunch of glossy black accents. Mercedes finishes the grille, 20-inch AMG wheels, mirror housings, and side sills in the dark shade, and then affixes a "Night Edition" badge on the front fenders. The paint, Selenite Gray Magno, is a stylish matte shade, although Mercedes calls it an optional item – there's no breakdown of other available colors, although we're guessing they're similarly dark and mysterious.

The Night Edition decal reappears on the AMG steering wheel, while Mercedes upholstered the rest of the cabin in varying arrays of leather, nappa leather, or AMG-spec nappa leather. Leather shades include black, Crystal Grey, Saddle Brown, or Bengal Red with black accents, where applicable. The poplar wood trim is, naturally, black. Wouldn't want to get too wild or anything.

The S-Class Coupe Night Edition is available in not-for-America S400 trim and the rear or all-wheel-drive versions of the V8-powered S500 (the US market's S550). Look for the stylish two-door to debut next month at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.
