Seller's comments about 1992' Volkswagen Passat

Volkswagen Passat Gt G60 Syncro (national) 1992

The third generation of Volkswagen Passat, known as Volkswagen Passat B3 or Volkswagen Passat 35i, was introduced in March 1988 in Europe, 1989. The absence of a front grille, utilizing the bottom vent approach, made the car's styling reminiscent of the old Volkswagens with rear engine, like the 411, without failing to mark a reference of modern style, as demonstrated by the extremely dynamic coefficient of its body.

The version, officially imported by SIVA, as top of the range in terms of equipment was the GT (above the GL, CL+ and CL) and, in Portugal, in terms of engine, the top was precisely the G60 (1.8 engine with volumetric compressor 160hp) and “Syncro” all-wheel drive.

This car (clearly a collector's car and connoisseur of the brand) is a national car, has 80,000kms and has all the extras available (leather upholstery with the driver's height adjustable, roof, mirrors and electric windows, air conditioning, on-board computer, abs, central differential, metallic paint, etc, etc.) and considering its 30 years of age, it is in an above average condition, having been stored since 1998 until a year ago, and being, however, fully revised by a brand specialist. By option of its previous owner, the car is equipped with 4 Cromodora rims, but it can, alternatively, be delivered with the 4 original rims typical of Volkswagen G60, the famous Sebring, being, in this last case, 100% original, being that still has his VW Beta radio that he brought from the factory.

This is a rare car, for its engine and equipment, and for being a national unit, being, according to the brand's importer, the engine of the Passat that sold the fewest units in this generation (less than a hundred, in the sedan body), especially having taking into account its high price and the competition from diesel units that still proliferate in our entrances, attesting to the robustness of this model's design.
