Yamaha MWC-4 at 2017 Tokyo Motor Show

The Leaning Multi-Wheel is a relatively new type of mobility to traditional motorcycle performance, offering very aggressive cornering without sacrificing safety. The Yamaha MWC-4 is one of Yamaha's futuristic vehicles, going with the "Yamaha Future Garage: Resonate the Future" theme. Yamaha developed the LMV vehicle under the concept of "Half-Sized Mobility". The MWC-4 has two wheels at the front and rear. Yamaha's interest in four-wheeled LMW vehicle concept goes long back. Back in 2007, the company showcased the Tesseract concept, which unlike the MWC-4 concept, didn't have a roof.

The Yamaha MWC-4 is 2,680 mm long, 900 mm wide and 1,480 mm tall. The concept's styling is inspired by the features of both motorcycles and musical instruments. The 2-seat LMW vehicle has a petrol engine, which doesn't drive the wheels, but generates power for liquid-cooled dual electric motors. With the MWC-4, Yamaha imagines a future with zero-emissions vehicles sans range anxiety.

Yamaha has not announced any plans for production of the MWC-4 yet.
