Now, a report from Autos Segredos says that the Fiat Argo's adventure variant could arrive as early as sometime this year.
At the Fiat Cronos' launch, Fiat ruled out an adventure variant of the Fiat Argo. However, it is said that Fiat is already having talks with suppliers for this variant's higher suspension and add-on plastic parts. According to a person in the know, the adventure variant will have a significantly higher ride height.
Fiat marketers may treat the Argo as a soft-roader SUV. As for the engine powering the Fiat Argo's adventure variant, there are two possibilities. Fiat may use a 1.3-litre Firefly engine for competitive pricing. The second is that the company would employ the 1.8-litre E.torQ engine to offer performance on par with the competitors.
The Fiat Argo's adventure variant will go up against the likes of Chevrolet Onix Activ, Hyundai HB20X, Renault Sandero Stepway and Toyota Etios Cross in Brazil.
